Job Summary
We are looking for a highly experienced and deserving professional for the position of Plant Head to manage and lead complete plant operations. The candidate should possess strong technical and mechanical knowledge, excellent leadership qualities, and extensive experience in sheet metal or structural steel manufacturing operations. The candidate must also have strong knowledge of plant compliances, operational systems, and manufacturing software.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Handle complete plant operations including production, planning, quality, maintenance, dispatch, stores, and manpower management
✔ Ensure achievement of production targets with optimum utilization of manpower and resources
✔ Monitor production efficiency, wastage control, and process improvements
✔ Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly MIS and production reports to MD & CFO
✔ Ensure implementation and monitoring of all plant compliances, statutory requirements, and safety standards
✔ Handle labour compliance, factory compliance, and operational documentation
✔ Coordinate with management for operational planning and business goals
✔ Manage workforce discipline, team coordination, and departmental performance
✔ Improve productivity, cost control, and overall operational efficiency
✔ Ensure smooth coordination between production, purchase, maintenance, quality, stores, and dispatch departments
✔ Work on ERP/software systems for operational monitoring and reporting
Required Skills
✅ Excellent mechanical and technical knowledge
✅ Strong understanding of sheet metal and structural steel manufacturing processes
✅ Knowledge of plant compliances, factory regulations, and statutory requirements
✅ Experience in handling overall plant operations independently
✅ Hands-on experience working on ERP/software systems and MIS reporting tools
✅ Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and reporting systems
✅ Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
✅ Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
✅ Ability to handle large teams and work under pressure effectively
